Rebellion is stepping into the VR arena with its first-ever VR game for the Zombie Army series. Fans of co-op campaigns, get ready—this game is launching on all major VR platforms next month!
Mark your calendars for May 22nd, when Zombie Army VR will be available on Quest 2 and newer, PSVR 2, and SteamVR headsets. You’ll step into the shoes of the Deadhunters, that elite squad tasked with halting the apocalypse and making the undead meet their second end.
According to Rebellion, players will battle swarms of the undead set against the haunting backdrop of Nuremberg’s bomb-ravaged ruins. Your mission: assist Captain Hermann Wolff, the renowned leader of the Deadhunters, in his quest to reunite with his lost family and help free Europe from this zombie chaos.
The game promises a “full-length, story-driven campaign” that can be tackled alone or with a buddy in two-player co-op. Expect a roster of authentic World War II weapons—sniper rifles, submachine guns, and even dual-wield pistols—each capable of manual reloads for a truly immersive experience.
As you fight your way through the undead, you’ll earn XP, allowing you to level up your Deadhunter, and gather Weapon Upgrade kits to tweak your firearms in terms of range, accuracy, scope, and capacity.
But it’s not just run-of-the-mill zombies you’ll face. Get ready for Armored Giants, Suiciders, Sniper Zombies, and other franchise mainstays. And just like in Rebellion’s Sniper Elite VR (2021), the much-loved X-ray Kill Cam is back in action, giving you those epic, slow-motion replays of long-range takedowns.
Pre-orders are now live! You can find Zombie Army VR on the Horizon Store for Quest 2 and up, the PlayStation Store for PSVR 2, and Steam for your PC VR headsets. Early birds can snag it for 10% off from the usual $30 price tag.
