This new shop simulation game brings together beloved Tamagotchi characters—both new and classic—offering players a vibrant experience in Tamahiko Town, where they’ll be managing a variety of shops.

This game takes a step away from the usual pet-caring mechanics of the Tamagotchi series and presents a delightful throwback to the Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series. For those who remember, this franchise made a splash in North America back in 2006 on the Nintendo DS. It’s been quite a wait since its last edition in 2008, but fans can rejoice knowing that this charming series is making a return, as confirmed in the recent March 27 Nintendo Direct.

What’s thrilling about Tamagotchi Plaza is the opportunity it gives players to run 12 unique establishments, each offering a distinct set of mini-games. These shops range from a dental clinic to an eyewear store, and they all need a touch of your management prowess. Players will get to interact with over 100 different Tamagotchi, including fan favorites like Mametchi, Kuchipatchi, and Memetchi, along with a brand-new character exclusive to the game. Through your efforts, you’ll bring vibrancy and life back to Tamahiko Town just in time for the Tamagotchi Fest.

Another exciting feature of Tamagotchi Plaza is the ability to dive into offline two-player co-op mini-games, allowing for both cooperative and competitive gameplay. Moreover, the game integrates with the Tamagotchi Uni through a linking function, unlocking unique items and special events. It’s important to note, however, that Tamagotchi Uni isn’t available globally yet.
