Hello Trailblazers! It’s been a while, and we’re excited to share some fascinating updates from the Honkai: Star Rail dev team about version 2.7, “A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn.” Dropping on December 4, this update wraps up our adventures in Penacony and sets the stage for the exciting journey to Amphoreus, the enigmatic realm known as the Eternal Land. As we prepare for version 3.0, this update marks the closing chapter before we board the Astral Express to explore new frontiers.
Let’s rewind to the previous storyline, where Black Swan sparked curiosity among the Crew by suggesting a trip to Amphoreus—a place so mysterious that even the legendary Trailblazer Akivili couldn’t reach it. With an adventurous spirit, Miss Himeko the Navigator embarks on a quest to gather any intel she can about this unknown realm. Meanwhile, as the Crew makes its final stop in Penacony, they reconnect with old friends and create cherished memories before setting off on their next grand adventure.
### old Faces, New Roles
The memories of Penacony Grand Theater’s last show linger as vividly as if it were yesterday. The Astral Express and Penacony both awaken from a dreamlike state, just like the character Sunday. There’s something profoundly moving about sharing the stage with Mr. Sunday again. Stepping down as the head of the Oak Family, Sunday has decided to “Descend to the mortal realm and walk their lands. See what this world is truly like.” Forsaking the blessings of Harmony and Order, he seeks to realize his vision of utopia as a mere mortal. Thanks to the enigmatic Pepeshi named Wonweek, Sunday makes his return to Penacony for one final, unforgettable performance before embarking on a brand-new journey. Donning a robe and hood, Sunday not only gets a fresh look but also conceals his true identity for one last dance on the Planet of Festivities.
Sunday, a 5-star Imaginary character, shines with his unique Support capabilities. His Skill allows an ally to immediately leap into action and boost their DMG. If the ally has a Summon, both jump into action, magnifying the DMG Boost effect even further. Sunday’s Ultimate regenerates Energy for one ally, blessing them and their Summon with a halo that cranks up their CRIT DMG.
Another intriguing arrival is Fugue, our old friend Tingyun in a new guise. Once a resourceful foxian girl, she finds herself with her identity, name, and appearance snatched away. But fortune has left her a slim lifeline of hope. Tingyun narrowly avoided death following a deadly encounter with Phantylia during version 1.2’s main storyline, with only Madam Ruan Mei from the Genius Society to thank for her rescue. Recently, Himeko and Welt visited Madam Ruan Mei, determined to bring Miss Tingyun home, reigniting her journey back to where she truly belongs.
Fugue is a 5-star Fire character adept at backing up team members and cutting down enemy Toughness, irrespective of their Type Weakness. While she’s active, her enemies find themselves caught up in the Cloudflame Luster state. Once this state hits zero, the enemies suffer Break DMG again. Moreover, when comrades attack these crippled adversaries, they dish out Super Break DMG. But Fugue’s talents don’t stop there; her Technique boosts her allies’ Break Effect. Her Ultimate attack deals Fire DMG to all foes, bypassing Weakness Type to lower all enemies’ Toughness directly.
General Jing Yuan and Firefly, both formidable 5-star characters, will make a return during the version 2.7 warp event’s first and second halves. Their strength makes them irreplaceable companions for your adventures ahead.
