Retailers have begun rolling out the red carpet for the much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, opening avenues for gamers to stake their claim on Nintendo’s latest creation. As the successor to the beloved portable home console finally steps into the spotlight, fans eagerly await more details.
While we’re all in the dark about the final pricing or how many units will be up for grabs, retailers are keeping things simple for now. They’ve rolled out email notification systems to alert you the moment pre-orders are officially live.
In North America, Best Buy is leading the charge, inviting fans from both the United States and Canada to express their interest. Over in the United Kingdom, ShopTo has crafted a unique approach: for a token payment of one penny, you can declare your interest. However, they make it clear that paying doesn’t secure your spot, and rest assured, if things don’t pan out, you’ll get that penny back.
The exact timeline for pre-orders is still under wraps. However, we do know that the magic day is Wednesday, April 2, 2025. That’s when Nintendo will pull back the curtains during their Nintendo Direct presentation dedicated to the Switch 2, where we’ll hopefully get all the juicy details and the chance to finally place those coveted pre-orders.
Stay tuned right here for the latest updates on which retailers will help you secure your Switch 2, or if you already have insider info, drop us a note in the comments!
