NIS America and Nippon Ichi Software have just dropped some exciting news—a demo for Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is now available on the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch.
This demo lets you dive into the first two chapters of the story, and the best part? Your progress will seamlessly transfer to the full game once it launches.
Brought to you by the creative minds behind the Disgaea series, this tactical RPG ditches the grid for a turn-based approach. The story introduces us to Marona, a young girl with the unique ability to communicate with Phantoms, and her steadfast Phantom companion, Ash. Together, they travel across the oceanic world of Ivoire, offering assistance to those in distress.
Their latest quest kicks off after a spooky ghost pirate fleet wreaks havoc, prompting Marona and her new ally, Apricot, to gather the legendary crew that once defeated these phantoms.
In your journey, you’ll recruit Phantoms, bind them to various objects, combine them with Gadgets, or even merge them with Marona to unleash incredible abilities and take down the infamous Shipwreck Fleet.
The publisher has highlighted some of the game’s intriguing features:
-
Play It Your Way: Choose from over 50 unit types to create your perfect battle team! The way you choose to fight is limited only by your own creativity.
-
Phantom Possession: Engage in strategic turn-based battles with the Confine system, which lets the Phantoms you befriend merge with objects to fight by your side.
- Light-hearted Adventure: While Marona’s on a mission to save her beloved friend Ash, there’s plenty of fun and fresh friendships to be made along the journey!
Get ready for Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero, as it’s set to launch both in stores and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch worldwide on January 30, 2025.
