Koei Tecmo, the renowned Japanese gaming company, has announced a leadership change with Hisashi Koinuma stepping into the role of CEO. This transition will officially take place on April 1, 2025. Before this, Koinuma served as the chief operating officer and held dual roles as president and general manager of the company’s entertainment division.
In an interesting strategic move, the company has decided to restructure itself into two distinct entities: Koei Tecmo Games and Koei Tecmo Corporate Finance.
Sharing their vision with shareholders, Koei Tecmo mentioned, “Our group is on a mission to become the world’s leading digital entertainment company, driven by our core values of ‘creativity and contribution’.”
They further elaborated, “We’ve been progressively working towards handing over the reins to a new generation of management, with detailed dialogues in the Nomination and Compensation Committee. This new management framework, set to kick off in the fiscal year 2025, is designed to propel our group towards greater growth and profitability.”
