For those subscribed to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, there’s a lot to look forward to this year. The Game Catalog perk promises to deliver four exciting new games upon release. Among these is Remedy Entertainment’s fresh multiplayer first-person shooter, FBC: Firebreak, now targeting a Summer 2025 debut.
Set within the intriguing confines of The Oldest House—the famed headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control—FBC: Firebreak deviates from Remedy’s usual tradition of deeply woven narratives, as seen in their hit game Control. This time, the focus is squarely on enhancing gameplay. Remedy aims to deliver a live-service experience, steering clear of the typical FOMO pitfalls synonymous with the genre. What’s refreshing is that all content will be free to play, allowing gamers to engage at their own pace.
The recent trailer introduces the Paper Chase Job, one of several missions players will tackle in FBC: Firebreak. Here, the Firebreak Initiative must deal with a part of The Oldest House overrun by mischievous rogue sticky notes. The trailer also gives a peek at the loadouts players will have to use as they combat the menacing Hiss threat.
Upon its release, FBC: Firebreak will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, accessible through both the Epic Games Store and Steam.
And that’s not all. FBC: Firebreak is only one of four games arriving in the Game Catalog at launch. We’re also getting Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor. PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members can already dive into the first part of Lost Records, with its second installment set to drop next month.
In addition to these game releases, PS Plus members are granted early access to the PS Store’s Spring Sale. This means exclusive deals on popular titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 are up for grabs right now.
