Last week, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl topped the Steam sales charts, becoming the platform’s highest-grossing game. Since its launch on November 20th, the game has already surpassed one million copies sold. Additionally, it has gained a substantial player base through Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass. This success is sure to bring a sigh of relief to the dedicated team at GSC Game World, whose work on Stalker 2 was completed under the challenging circumstances of a warzone.
The debut of Heart of Chornobyl nudged Counter-Strike 2 down to second place, whereas Valve saw its Steam Deck hardware climb to third, particularly after a new white edition of the console hit the market. Released on November 18th, this limited edition sold out almost immediately.
Meanwhile, PUBG: Battlegrounds and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 each slipped one spot, now sitting in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 entered the fray at sixth, despite widely reported technical issues.
Though it’s not officially out until December, the Early Access RPG Path of Exile 2 claimed the seventh spot thanks to Supporter Packs, which grant early game access. Amazon and NCSoft’s Throne and Liberty moved up two spots to secure eighth place, followed by EA Sports FC 25 in ninth. Valve’s Dota 2 completes the top ten lineup.
