This week, fans of engineering puzzles are in for a treat as a popular bridge-building game makes its debut on Quest. Get ready to tackle a range of creative challenges in both virtual and mixed reality settings.
Originally, Bridge Constructor Studio was set to launch last week, bringing its engaging construction simulation to Quest VR. It also introduces mixed reality functions for Quest 3, allowing builders to visualize, test, and perfect their structures in new ways. Although the release was pushed back a bit, it’s finally arriving on December 12th.
This latest installment of Bridge Constructor Studio offers 70 different puzzles. Each one challenges players to transport various vehicles across custom-built bridges using diverse materials such as wood, steel, cables, concrete pillars, and roadways. Unlike its traditional counterparts or its main rival, Poly Bridge, this XR version doesn’t impose budget restrictions or material limitations upfront. However, for those seeking an extra challenge, enabling these constraints will unlock a special award.
Aside from its robust campaign, Bridge Constructor Studio features a Scenario Creation Mode. This mode gives players the freedom to craft and play their own bridge-building challenges, with the ability to save up to 40 personalized levels in their profile.
ClockStone STUDIO, the developers behind this new version, are no strangers to both flat-screen and extended reality adaptations. They’ve previously worked on the LEGO Bricktales XR experience and have developed numerous versions of Bridge Constructor, dating back to the first one in 2011.
For just $10, this exciting new entry in the series is launching exclusively for Quest 2 and Quest 3 on December 12th. It will be available on the Horizon Store, giving players a fresh platform to unleash their inner engineer.
