Back in July, “Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable” made its debut on Quest in Early Access, featuring a single mission or ‘chapter’ along with a few unlockable blades. It was a modest beginning, with promises of more content trickling in over time. Fast forward to now, the developer, UNIVRS, has released the ‘Complete Edition,’ which includes a total of four chapters.
When we had a go at the game in July, our impression was that it resembled a tech demo more than a full game. It offered a solid dose of core gameplay but was restricted to just one chapter, accompanied by an endless wave mode and the obligatory scoreboard.
But things have ramped up in the Complete Edition, Part One. Now, players can dive into chapters three and four, enjoy the Epilogue, and take on a challenging showdown against an Armored Titan boss.
For the first time, there’s also co-op gameplay available, which means you can tackle all the chapters with a friend.
To spice things up further, the full game release included hints from UNIVRS about a ‘Thunder Spear Unlock Event’ scheduled for January—introduced as a “global challenge.” Plus, there’s a free update expected in 2025, as mentioned on the game’s webpage.
In our initial experience earlier this year, we found the game a bit “rough” around the edges. Nevertheless, it seems to have struck a chord with fans. As of now, “Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable” proudly scores a commendable 4.5 out of 5 on the Horizon Store.
If you already bought the Early Access version, you’ll be able to download Part 2 without any extra cost. For newcomers, Part 1 is available for $8, Part 2 alone costs $12 (with Part 1 needed), or you can opt for both parts bundled at $20. The game is compatible with Quest 2, Quest 3/S, and Quest Pro.
