ASRock seems to be gearing up for a solid lineup with the introduction of their Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs, and images of their much-anticipated Steel Legend and Taichi models have just emerged online.
ASRock appears to have a promising collection ready with AMD’s next wave of RDNA 4 graphics cards in their sights, specifically focusing on the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. Although we’re still awaiting “official” visuals from other AIB manufacturers, ASRock’s cards have already made an appearance online, showcasing three different tiers: Steel Legend, Taichi, and Challenger. The Taichi series leads the pack as ASRock’s flagship, boasting a sophisticated triple-fan setup paired with a substantial heatsink, which makes it a three-slot card.
The Taichi’s most intriguing feature is its use of a 12V-2×6 power connector. Not every model will include this, as AMD has opted to leave that decision to its partners, depending on the power needs of each unit. This connector can handle up to 600W, making the Taichi potentially formidable in terms of performance and overclocking potential.
Then there’s the Steel Legend, which steps in as a solid mid-range contender from ASRock. It’s available in both white and silver color options, offering a 2.5-slot triple fan layout. Unlike the Taichi, this model skips the 12V-2×6 connector, opting instead for a more standard 2x 8-pin configuration, consistent with AMD’s AIB models, barring some of the higher-end versions like the Taichi.
So, when might you see these on the market? It’s likely we won’t have to wait long, as rumors suggest AMD plans to kick off pre-orders for the RX 9070 series GPUs as soon as next week.
