Christopher Judge, the man behind the voice of Kratos, recently set the internet abuzz with what seemed to be a teaser for an upcoming God of War announcement. But hold your horses—there’s actually nothing new on that front at the moment.
Hard to believe it’s been a couple of years since we were all swept away by God of War: Ragnarok, right? Fans are understandably eager for news about what Santa Monica Studio has in store next. In the meantime, Kratos’ voice actor, Christopher Judge, stirred up some buzz during an Instagram Live session last week. During the session, he hinted at a wave of announcements coming over the next couple of weeks, particularly zeroing in on December 1. “These next two weeks will be packed with announcements and all sorts of exciting news,” Judge said, adding, “On December 1st, we’ve got a big piece of news to share—something I’ve been dying to tell you about because many of you have been asking, ‘What’s next?'”
Naturally, this led fans to jump to conclusions, believing Sony might have something God of War-related up its sleeve. Even though Judge didn’t directly mention the game, hopes were high. However, Chris cleared the air on Twitter, addressing the speculation. Quoting a tweet related to his previous comments, he clarified: “Absolutely not true! You can’t tease something you know nothing about. I’ll be making announcements soon, but I guarantee none will be about OUR beloved God of War. I’m waiting for news just like everyone else.”
So, while fans can look forward to some exciting news from Judge, don’t expect anything about Kratos and company this round. While those who follow Judge will be happy to hear about his upcoming announcements, God of War enthusiasts will have to sit tight. There’s nothing else to do but maybe revisit previous games or speculate on what’s to come. In other words, nothing left to see here for now, folks!
