Release of The Alters, Upcoming Space Game by Frostpunk Studio, Delayed Again

The Alters promises to breathe new life into some of the well-trodden paths of survival games. However, fans will need to wait a little longer, as the release has been pushed back to 2025.

It’s an intriguing blend of ideas and was initially set to launch in the first quarter of this year. But the latest word from 11 Bit Studios confirms that’s not happening as planned.

In an endearing message to Jan from his “employer,” Ally Corp, the studio announced that the release has been delayed to further polish the game. Given the game’s ambitious concept and the fresh direction for the studio, it’s no surprise they’ve encountered unexpected challenges along the way.

Beyond survival mechanics, you’ll need to juggle diplomacy as well. Each of Jan’s clones has its own unique take on life, shaped by different personal choices—be it career changes for love or standing up to abuse. These differing viewpoints could easily lead to friction as they navigate their roles on the team.
