Did you manage to grab a pre-order for the Nintendo Switch 2 last night or earlier today? If you’re among the fortunate ones, you’ll be excited to hear that Sonic is joining the line-up for launch day. SEGA has just announced that “SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS” will be available on June 5th.
Alongside Sonic, the launch titles include “Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut” and “Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S.” You can pre-order these games in both physical and digital formats right now.
“SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS” lets you play as Shadow in an exciting new story campaign. Discover Shadow’s unique abilities, proving why he’s the Ultimate Life Form. This package also includes a remastered version of the beloved “Sonic Generations” game. Experience a thrilling time-travel adventure with a collection of favorite 3D and 2D Sonic stages, now enhanced with upgraded visuals and bonus content.
Meanwhile, “Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S” invites you into its captivating puzzle action. Try out the all-new “Puyo Tetris Doubles” mode, where 2v2 battles unfold on a single board, enabling players to create mind-blowing combos. Offering a mix of local and online modes for up to four players, this title boasts a roster of 40 playable characters, including Sonic himself, each with distinct stats and abilities.
“Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut” is the ultimate edition of the acclaimed origin story from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Yakuza series, made even better for the Nintendo Switch 2. This edition features new, unseen story cutscenes and introduces a “Red Light Raid” online multiplayer mode, allowing you to team up with friends to take down enemy hordes. Plus, it includes English and Chinese voiceovers, along with subtitles in French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese.
Pre-orders are also available for “RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army,” which launches on June 19th. Later this year, “Two Point Museum” will join the fun.
