Have you been eagerly following news about “Dune Awakening” and wishing you could jump into the game yourself? Good news! You’ll have the chance to play soon, thanks to a free open beta weekend kicking off on May 9 and wrapping up on May 12.
To get in on the action, you have two options: either add the game to your wishlist before May 9 for a shot at playing, or snag one of the many beta codes being handed out by the team over the weekend. So, while it’s not entirely open to everyone, there’s a decent chance to join if you’re lucky.
Interestingly, this beta arrives just a few days before the original release date of May 15, which has been postponed. The team at Funcom decided to take a little more time to ensure everything is polished and perfect for the full launch.
During the beta, players can dive into the first two regions, which should offer about 20 hours of gameplay if explored thoroughly. You’ll get to roam around some Research Facilities, test early abilities for various classes, and engage in a bit of PvP at ship crash sites. It’s a great sampler of what’s to come. If you want to know more about what to expect, check out our latest preview of “Dune Awakening,” which delves into this part of the experience.
Feeling pumped about this open beta? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
