Cards & Tankards, the popular free-to-play social VR card game, is gearing up for an exciting new expansion set to release later this month.
Created by the innovative team at Divergent Realities, this engaging game, which you can enjoy on both standard screens and VR headsets, is about to get even better. The studio recently announced their latest expansion, ‘Ashes of Ur-Enku,’ which promises to bring a wealth of new content. Players can look forward to 50 fresh cards, some stunning diamond animated variants, an array of new cosmetics, an updated season pass, gameplay balancing adjustments, and rank resets.
The expansion is set against the fascinating backdrop of Ur-Enku’s wild lands. Here, the Plundering Guild sets out on an audacious fire-hunting mission, a journey forbidden yet thrilling, seeking long-hidden Dwarven archives buried beneath layers of untamed wilderness. These archives are said to contain knowledge of Aether, a powerful primordial force, but there’s a twist—only one explorer is destined to return.
Since its launch nearly two years ago, Cards & Tankards has seen a steady stream of updates, all enhancing the player experience. The last significant update, Version 2.4, came in December, featuring a range of vital fixes. Before that, Version 2.3 made significant waves by rebalancing more than half of the game’s cards. The studio also introduced the ‘Crusade of Sun & Stone’ expansion in March, alongside the new ‘Ranked Mode’ unveiled in late 2023.
