Intel has proudly revealed that its XeSS 1 technology is now featured in over 150 games, and they are just warming up with XeSS 2. This step marks Intel’s continuous effort in enhancing gaming experiences through their advanced graphics solutions.
Intel’s journey into the world of super-sampling began with the launch of the Intel Arc Alchemist series, pioneering XeSS technology. Although XeSS 2 hasn’t seen widespread use yet, its predecessor has found a home in numerous games, significantly enhancing graphical fidelity across a broad range of titles. A growing library of over 150 games now benefits from XeSS technology, with Intel hinting at even more to join the roster soon.
Gamers can dive into a variety of triple-A games that boast XeSS capabilities, though the competition remains hot with AMD’s FSR and NVIDIA’s DLSS still leading the pack. According to a recent tweet from Intel Gaming, this milestone showcases how Intel’s solutions continue to improve the gaming landscape.
While Intel is making strides, there’s still a road ahead before they can fully stand toe-to-toe with their bigger rivals. At present, XeSS 1 dominates the supported titles, with XeSS 2 only making appearances in a couple of games like F1 2024 and Marvel Rivals. However, the future looks promising with anticipated releases like Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Killing Floor 3 set to integrate XeSS 2.
Moreover, some games are starting to implement XeSS Frame Generation—although it’s not as prevalent as FSR and DLSS Frame Gen techniques yet. The caveat is that both XeSS 2 and Frame Generation require Intel’s Arc Battlemage GPUs, specifically the Arc B580 and Arc B570, which are currently scarce on the market.
