Epic Games revealed an exciting new collaboration on Monday through an update on Fortnite’s official blog. Starting January 14 and running until April 8, the Fortnite Festival will host a special partnership with Hatsune Miku. Fans can look forward to an array of Miku-themed goodies hitting the Fortnite Shop, as well as additions to the Music Pass, which is the unique battle pass for this themed festival.
The Music Pass is set to spotlight some standout items, including two distinctive Hatsune Miku outfits. Players can choose between the Neko Hatsune Miku Outfit, which adds charming pink cat ears to her look, or the Brite Hatsune Miku Style, which draws inspiration from Fortnite’s Brite Bomber and the iconic Supply Llama. This pass can be purchased separately for 1,400 V-Bucks or accessed through the Fortnite Crew subscription.
For those who prefer not to level up a battle pass, there’s good news! Additional Miku-themed bundles will be available in the Item Shop. The main bundle will feature Miku in her signature attire, accompanied by themed back bling and emotes. The cherry on top? A lively jam track of “Miku” by Anamanaguchi and Hatsune Miku—which ensures her anthem is just a click away.
Hatsune Miku has come a long way since her debut in 2007, becoming a muse for electronic artists worldwide who incorporate her distinctive synthesized voice into their tracks. Her influence has grown so immensely that she’s toured the U.S., even gracing the stage at Coachella. Along the way, she’s sparked memes, viral trends, and joined forces with big names like Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering.
