Customize Components
After picking your controller, Xbox Design Lab presents you with ten different customization options. You can preview your creation anytime, saving designs to compare later and ensuring you finalize the perfect look.
Body
The front of your controller is where your choice really shines. The Xbox Wireless Controller offers matte finishes and an array of patterns—from Vapor swirls to Pride colors, and game-inspired designs like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The Elite Series 2 gives you matte choices, the transparent Cipher series, or themed designs from your favorite games.
Back
The options for the back of your controller extend behind the grips. You can match it to the front or go for a bold two-tone aesthetic using the same palette available for the body.
Grips
Enhance your grip with rubberized back and sides, available for a small added cost on the Xbox Wireless Controller and as a standard feature on the Elite Series 2.
Bumpers
Customize the top buttons and the case between them with colors matching the front and back of the controller. The Elite Series 2 takes it up a notch with a selection of metallic finishes.
Triggers
Triggers play a crucial role in gaming, and you can choose from standard and metallic colors on the Xbox Wireless Controller. The Elite Series 2 also features metallic options that either align with or contrast against your bumpers.
D-Pad
Whether you prefer a metallic finish on your Xbox Wireless Controller’s D-Pad or a classic or Faceted D-Pad on the Elite Series 2, the choices are endless with single-tone or vibrant Chroma designs.
Thumbsticks
The Xbox Wireless Controller’s thumbsticks can match any controller color, while the Elite Series 2 lets you customize everything from the metal base to the thumbstick rings and toppers.
ABXY Buttons
From seven classic designs on the Xbox Wireless Controller to twenty vibrant options on the Elite Series 2, personalize those iconic buttons in a way that fits your style.
View, Menu, Share Buttons
Choose from five designs for these central buttons on the Xbox Wireless Controller or from an impressive 24 color options with the Elite Controller to make them your own.
Engraving
For a special personal touch, engrave a name, Gamertag, or message of up to 16 characters onto the controller.
Pick a Pre-Made Design
If you have a favorite game, check out our "Inspired By" designs in Xbox Design Lab. These pre-configured controllers can be tweaked to suit your preferences and celebrate your gaming passions. Don’t forget to explore the Game Collection for exclusive designs inspired by titles like Fallout and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Choose Some Elite Extras
If you’re drawn to the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, personalize it further with adjustable extras. Secure it with a Carrying Case and Charging Pack, or add a Paddle Pack for more play options. Opt for the Thumbsticks and D-pad Pack to mix up your gaming style. The Everything Pack combines all these additions, or buy them individually if you already own an Elite Series 2.
Adaptive Thumbstick Toppers
We’ve worked alongside charities and tactile gaming experts to produce 3D-printable thumbstick toppers suited for accessibility needs. These can be downloaded and printed for either controller model, and exciting new designs are planned for the forthcoming Xbox Adaptive Joystick, launching in early 2025 in selected markets.
With these insights, you’re ready to craft your one-of-a-kind Xbox controller. Get creative and have fun exploring the possibilities on Xbox Design Lab!
