Game Source Entertainment and Tokyo Virtual Theory (TVT) have exciting news for gamers: their rhythm roguelike action game, Ratatan, is preparing to make its debut on the Nintendo Switch.
Ratatan, a game that follows in the footsteps of Japan Studio and Pyramid’s cherished title Patapon, is set in the vibrant world of Rataport. This lively island, described as being as cheerful as a toy box, welcomes players to explore its whimsical setting. Here, the unique creature Ratatan joyfully coexists among friends known as the Cobun.
Although they may differ in looks and personalities, these companions share a unified ambition—to venture into The Everafter and encounter The Goddess, rumored to reside there. No matter the obstacles, their determination to fulfill their dream remains unshaken.
The game brings together the creative genius of Hiroyuki Kotani, producer of the Patapon series. Players will assume the role of Ratatan, using enchanting musical instruments to orchestrate battle commands for the Cobun. By keeping rhythm, players trigger Fever Mode, transforming the music and unleashing spectacular character actions.
Scheduled for a worldwide digital release on the Nintendo eShop, Ratatan will become available to Nintendo Switch players in 2025.
