If you’re a Call of Duty enthusiast with a penchant for collecting on PC, you’re in luck. Just last night, four iconic Call of Duty titles made their debut on the Xbox PC store. This move brings a fresh batch of top-notch Xbox first-person shooters to the Xbox Windows platform, complete with achievements to boot.
In a delightful surprise for fans, Call of Duty: Ghosts, WWII, Advanced Warfare, and Black Ops III are now up for grabs on the Microsoft Store for PC. Not only do these games come loaded with Xbox achievements, but they also feature achievement lists tailored specifically for Windows. In recent weeks, five other Call of Duty favorites also joined the PC store lineup.
Activision has been on a roll, consistently rolling out classic Call of Duty games onto the Microsoft Store. It all kicked off with timeless hits like Call of Duty + United Offensive and Call of Duty 2, followed by the arrivals of Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3. Now, fans can revisit the thrilling missions of Ghosts, WWII, Advanced Warfare, and Black Ops III on their PCs. Each game’s achievement list mirrors its console version, offering a familiar challenge for returning players hoping to increase their Gamerscore. Unfortunately, the PC versions miss out on cross-platform multiplayer features.
As a wave of Call of Duty games continues to wash over the Windows Store, speculation is rife among fans. Many believe that Activision is gearing up for a major reveal, potentially adding these nostalgic Call of Duty entries, alongside their console editions, to Game Pass. While Activision’s back catalog has slowly been integrated into Game Pass over the past year, these particular Call of Duty classics haven’t made the leap just yet. It seems entirely possible that Activision and Microsoft are biding their time, waiting to line up both console and PC versions before a grand Game Pass release.
Whatever the game plan might be, we’re crossing our fingers that these classics will soon feature in our list of upcoming Game Pass additions. What’s your take on this? Are you planning on diving back into these games? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below!
