Microsoft is shaking things up with a fresh addition to its Edge browser that’s bound to catch the eye of gamers: Game Assist.
They recently shared the news on their website, explaining that Game Assist, still in its preview phase, offers an in-game browser designed to dole out useful gaming tips and tricks. Gamers can access this feature through the Game Bar, making it a potentially valuable tool for those looking to enhance their play.
A staggering 88% of PC gamers tend to pause their gameplay in search of advice online, according to Microsoft. Further diving into their research, they’ve found that about 40% frequently look for tips, guides, and extra help while they’re immersed in their games.
Game Assist aims to simplify this process, automatically suggesting helpful resources related to the game you’re playing each time you open a new tab. Initially launched in English, this preview version already supports a host of popular PC games, and Microsoft is keen to refine the experience based on user feedback.
Currently, Edge Game Assist is compatible with a lineup of exciting games, including Baldur’s Gate 3, Diablo 4, Fortnite, Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga, League of Legends, Minecraft, Overwatch 2, Roblox, and Valorant.
