2K Games has decided to pull its launcher from all the titles it’s released on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Just last month, they shared that they’d be phasing out this technology by November. This announcement also included removing a beta version of the launcher from Sid Meier’s Civilization 5.
In a blog post, 2K explained, “We’ve handled the tough part, but there’s one last step you might need to take. Start by completely closing and reopening Steam—using the X to minimize isn’t enough.” They added, “Rebooting your PC ensures it’s all clear. For those using Epic, just make sure your game is up to date.”
They went on to confirm that games like BioShock Remastered, BioShock 2 Remastered, BioShock Infinite, and Marvel’s Midnight Suns will launch directly when players hit play.
