After facing significant criticism, the PS Stars Wallet funds reward has made a comeback for many players, though not entirely for everyone just yet. Earlier today, players worldwide noticed the return of the $5 or £5 denomination in their accounts. For some, this is currently the only option available, while others have found multiple denominations now ready for redemption.
Exciting news for PS Stars members—wallet funds are back, and surprisingly, it doesn’t matter what level you are or if you’re subscribed to PS Plus. Players have discovered their wallet funds reappearing after renewing their PS Plus or opting for a PS Plus Premium membership. However, it’s important to note that having a PS Plus subscription or a specific PS Stars level does not influence the availability of the store credit option.
Take my situation, for example: I’m a PS Stars Level 4 member with a PS Plus Essential subscription, and interestingly, I never lost access to the £10 Wallet funds reward. And now, the £5 option has also made its way back to my account. Some other players have also noticed this reward becoming available again, even if they aren’t currently subscribed to PS Plus.
Sony has been notably quiet about this whole ordeal over the past month, leaving players to seek answers from PS Support, where, unfortunately, they received mixed—and sometimes quite strange—responses. It’s still uncertain whether these store credit rewards will fully return to their previous standing.
