A whole month has flown by since Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 landed on Xbox Game Pass and various other platforms like the Xbox Series X|S. It made quite the splash during its debut weekend, setting impressive records. Now, Activision has unveiled another milestone that only adds to its growing list of achievements.
Through their official social media channels, Activision revealed that Black Ops 6 has achieved the title of the largest Call of Duty launch ever within its first month. It’s an accolade that underscores the game’s massive appeal and audience reach.
Activision expressed their gratitude by stating, “In the first 30 days from launch, together you made Black Ops 6 the biggest Call of Duty ever… Thank you to the Call of Duty community for continuing to make the launch of Black Ops 6 one for the record books.”
This success isn’t just about numbers—it’s a record-breaking venture that includes the highest “total players,” the most “hours played,” and the greatest “total matches” played.
A post on Twitter from the official Call of Duty account had this to say: “Thank you to the Call of Duty community for continuing to make the launch of #BlackOps6 one for the record books 🔥,” accompanied by a celebratory image.
Adding to the chorus of praise, Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella, remarked back in October about Black Ops 6 being the “biggest” Call of Duty release to date. Interestingly, reports indicate that Xbox Game Pass didn’t negatively impact overall sales for the game either, which says a lot about its dedicated fan base and widespread appeal.
